The Philadelphia BTA is getting ready for a great 2012!  Our first event, Wednesday, February 8, at Loews Philadelphia Hotel! Don't miss the PBTA's first chapter meeting of 2012, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Loews Philadelphia Hotel.  Not only is this a presidential election year, it's also an election year for our chapter,  when this September we will pick a new slate of officers and board members to guide the PBTA through 2013 and 2014.  With that in mind, we will present our bi-annual program, "It's Your Chapter" which will recap the state of the PBTA and its accomplishments over the past two years, chapter goals for 2013 and beyond, as well as  an overview of the various committees that keep our chapter thriving.  You'll get to meet your current officers, board members and committee chairs and find out what each of these positions entails.  There will also be a member survey taken along with round table discussions for each committee to let you as a member (or a potential member) know how you can become involved in promoting the growth and success of the Philadelphia Business Travel Association.   So, join us on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Loews Philadelphia Hotel and be a part of our ongoing efforts to make the Philadelphia BTA the area's premiere business travel organization by registering today at www.phillybta.org/events.  This is your chance to let your voice be heard.  After all, "It's Your Chapter"!  The Philadelphia BTA's 7th Annual Holiday Dinner and Charity Auctions was a tremendous success!                Our 7th Annual Holiday Dinner and Charity Auction held  on Tuesday, December 6 2011, was a great success.  With 168 in attendance at Le Méridien Philadelphia,  a sold out crowd enjoyed great food, music and dancing, as we raised money to support City of Hope and your local BTA chapter's scholarship fund.   Terrific music was provided for our dancing pleasure by Philadelphia's Party Band,  Bigg Romeo , plus our celebrity auctioneer was none other than nationally known author,  speaker and television host, Gail Kasper.  ** And best of all, a total of  $25,520.00 was raised from the silent and live auctions, the most ever! **     We thank the Le Merdien for their magnificient job in hosting this event, our wonderful and very generous auction prize donors and most of all, all of you for coming out and supporting this most worthy event.  Happy New Year to All from the Philadelphia BTA!   The Philadelphia BTA and City of Hope are most grateful for the tremendous support of all of our wonderful donors and partners for this year’s Holiday Event Grand Prize Auction Donors                   Major Door Prize Donor Major Auction Prize Donors
